Light-hitting zippy little guy playing for the Red Sox. He doesn't hit much, though I must admit he's been doing very well of late. Him having a one-home-run game is remarkable; two is spectacular (he's never done it before).
I imagine he's called 'Pokey' for much the same reason that guy John who hung out with Robin Hood was called 'Little'. But ballplayer nicknames are an obscure form of magic which I do not comprehend.

Dumber Question Why on earth is he called "Pokey"? Wouldn't that be a bad thing in an athlete?
