So I snagged some stuff off [livejournal.com profile] teinedreugan's machine that he's had ripped off our collection just now, which is mostly Great Big Sea. Though in the middle of that it threw in some Nightwish, which was awfully disconcerting (their apparent motto: "When I say 'operatic heavy metal', I mean coloratura"), and then back to GBS.

Spent a while trying to find some more detailed pictures of bas jars, on the notion that I could, y'know, try to make them when I have a wheel. Failed. Will have to grab [livejournal.com profile] teinedreugan and go to the MFA and look for some or something. (I could base a design off the bas heiroglyph, but that's . . . well, a little low-res. Doesn't provide any information about the way the lid fits, either.)

Will edit this with word count when I go to bed.

Addendum: Oh, gods, it's good to have my contact with Set-energy back. I feel like myselves again for the first time in a long time. Even if it does mean an upswing in my tendency to post comments on boards on the "This is too stupid to be allowed to stand" principle. I'd missed that principle. A lot. The etymology of "empathy" is just not that bloody complicated. ]

Would that be em + pathy, related to em-dashes, and thus meaning having to do with places where people run around quickly?

Er, it's almost 3am; I know I won't wish to be associated with that in the morning, but it's not morning yet, so I'll leave it.

I feel like myselves again for the first time in a long time.

This does seem a very very muchly good thing, yes. Very muchly good....
