She's never asked me for anything before, not in an offering sense. I mixed it up -- teinedreugan, keshwyn and I were in Tosci's earlier this week and they had hot vanilla on the menu and I thought that looked like a good idea, and keshwyn commented on doing it with cloves, and then we got the rum today, so this was all . . . hello, I'm babbling.

An-y-way.

I've been sharing a lot of food lately.
I wasn't aware you could do it that way--I always set aside a portion of whatever and burned it, or poured it out on the ground, or whatever. I probably still will. But this whole co-tasting thing is very new. Nice, though. Even works, sort of, with the deceased, and that's good family bonding any way you look at it.
It just stands to reason you'd already know about it, though. Darn recons with your -literacy-...

Well, it makes sense that you'd be pouring out libations or burning when you've been at least part time chatting with a Greek, it does.

Your Kemetics, the gods and spirits and akhu eat the ka of the offerings, and us material folks get the leftovers. And everyone gets a full meal or a full stash of booze. (I know the Asatru do the same thing at least with booze, but I don't know the theology of it.)

Right. Must defrost meat for dinner with Set.

ooo! i used to often make something similar, with brown sugar, and cinnamon and vanilla. nothing like it when you're stressed and need to sleep deeply. no nutmeg though. bad dreams with the nutmeg.

That reminds me...meranthi's pregnancy meant that she offered your apple-mead to visitors rather than partaking herself. Now that she's given birth, she's allowed to have a small drink now and then. So she would definitely be interested in more apple-mead when you do another batch.
