Long-time gay activists married in San Francisco.

They've been together for fifty years.

This is the sanctity of marriage. This is protecting real families.

Here I am, a Massachusetts gal, sitting south of the San Francisco Bay trying to figure out which direction to throw the good wishes, congratulations, and thumbs up -- while my legislature thrashes about with angst about the same thing. While my rep and senator almost do the right thing. (Both voted down Finneran, at least.)

    We're on the healing path
We're on a roller coaster ride
    That could never turn back
    And if you love me
    And if you really try
    To make the seconds count
Then we can close our eyes

We close our eyes and the world has turned around again
We close our eyes and dream and another year has come and gone
We close our eyes and the world has turned around again
We close our eyes and dream ... ("We Close Our Eyes", Oingo Boingo)

Hey, you're at P-Con, right? Just remembering this. Wave at the HON people for me, if you run into them. Wish I could be there too!!

Have a wonderful time.
