Still with the headache

I really don't know how I'm going to get some of the proper layering in of what's up with the two major characters that aren't the POV at this point. I mean, for once the taciturn cranky one is the easy one; what's up with him in the immediate sense will become clear in a couple of chapters. But I can't for the life of me figure out if I'm cueing hints for what's up with the other one properly. And it's one of those situations that it's hard to ask people about without telegrpahic too much with the questions. Dammit.

In any case, wordcount for 3.2 is up to 809, so thud the difference between that and whatever I posted yesterday.

I got a middling amount of the stuff done that I need to do tomorrow, and should have managed enough sleep-shift to be coherent as I'm going to get for the weekend.

Discussing my weekend stress with teinedreugan managed to turn into a rant about Steinbeck and the colour of Gatsby's car. Probably from me getting something useful out of seventh grade English class sixteen or so years after the fact.

Both knees hurting. Will have to inspect the brace situation.

Played Settlers of the Stone Age at games tonight, and failed to win, but didn't do so bad for a first try (I'm not terribly experienced with any of the Settlers of Catan style games -- I think this was my second play of one ever -- so getting seven victory points when the game ends at ten is not terrible). Also, the Sox managed to win, so this weekend will be less stressy baseball-wise, though I will be away for much of it and likely not in contact with the standings.

Meanwhile, brooksmoses provides strange evidence that Boston is, indeed, the Hub of the Universe, or at least of Google.
