Gah.

My villains are scaring me.

They're not even important villains. Though they're the first set of people I've written in a while that I can cheerfully declare villains, honestly; I haven't stumbled across a redeeming feature aside from, perhaps, offing someone who was once one of their own comparatively painlessly.

Section 101: 922 words. 1060 total. Done.
Section 102: 369 words. Done.

And that's the six, which I'll sendbrooksmoses after I've gotten a proof on 102 to make sure I got the scaring-me bits right. *prods oneironaut until gtst unidles*

Will probably get more written tonight, unless I don't, but I wanted to guh.

How to completely break a brain in three easy steps.

Start with "Beds are Burning" (How can we dance while our earth is turning / how can we sleep while our beds are burning?), Midnight Oil.

Cross-reference with "Psycho Killer" (Can't sleep, bed's on fire / Don't touch me, I'm a real live wire), the Talking Heads.

Then add "Laid" (The bed is on fire with passionate love / the neighbours complain about the noises above), James.

Stir gently.

I'm going to go to my non-flaming bed now and fall down because I've had a very day.

I found my fishie!

So, a while ago I put together a lily tank, which lives in the green/mathom room.

In an attempt to get it to be a mostly self-sustaining thing, I got fish to give my plants CO2. Something like six months ago.

Among other things, we got a Chinese algae-eater. (We actually got several; the first batch all died, so we got one more. If I'm remembering this sequence right.)

We released the algae-eater into the wild somewhere in June or July ("New Fish Day" was 26 June last year, but that was the one where all the algae-eaters died).

We have not seen it since.

Before today.


It's huge. Something like three inches long, and chubby. (When we got it it was an inch long and ittle.)

It's also vanished again. :}
