So, a while ago I put together a lily tank, which lives in the green/mathom room.
In an attempt to get it to be a mostly self-sustaining thing, I got fish to give my plants CO2. Something like six months ago.
Among other things, we got a Chinese algae-eater. (We actually got several; the first batch all died, so we got one more. If I'm remembering this sequence right.)
We released the algae-eater into the wild somewhere in June or July ("New Fish Day" was 26 June last year, but that was the one where all the algae-eaters died).
We have not seen it since.
Before today.
It's huge. Something like three inches long, and chubby. (When we got it it was an inch long and ittle.)
It's also vanished again. :}

They're a type of demon. One of their traits or maybe flaws is that they tend to break things. Not just the things they mean to break. They're the sort of demon that if it walks by your car, one of your wheels will fall off. Or by your computer, your data will scramble. CD cases crack just being near them, clothes rip, etc.
Native entropy fields, basically, with casual doom and destruction.

So tell me about your character concepts, eh?

Which means that she wound up built with the sort of personality who would work well with that Word, as a demon, completely ignorant of why she came into being, with Lilith shrugging and saying, "Well, if you're not going to do enough for me that I'll build her to your spec, you get to try to redeem her, buddy. Pays your favors, you takes your chance."
Also, every so often I ponder building a Calabite, just because I need an explanation for why I don't own any non-broken CD cases. ;)
I built a Malakite once, but never managed to get a handle on the character; it was a con situation, so I handed it off at the end of the session anyway. Ah well.

My latest to actually see play is an 1890s belly-dancer Soldier of Divine Fire.
I've also got an Ofanite of
KnowledgeDestiny, a Girl Scout Malakite (Oath-sworn to the Girl Scout Promise and Law), a Seraph Tsayad, and Haagenti (for a Superiors-based game, obviously). That's all of my concepts that have actually seen play.

I want to pick up more of the books and peer at them. It's a really neat world-construction, just as a starter. And worldbuilding well-done tends to give me Ideas.
(I think I only have the main book and Infernal PG. And maybe one of the Liber something-or-others.)

Want to come over and look at my books sometime?

I'm not sure I'd fit well in a standard Avs.D game; I have too much of a tendency to go around the edges of things . . . But gaming materials are great resources even outside of games, for me. Writing stuff.
I may want to come and peer at books sometime, perhaps when my life is slightly less ngaaarghle.

Which apparently produced *perfect conditions* for mutatedly huge goldfish.
By the time I saw that one a couple years later, it was 5" long, huge, and perfectly happy. (Weirdly deformed-- it had bumped an eye back when the tank wasn't full of algae-- but happy.)
Thing lived for like 15 years. Go figure.
