Saw a deer on the way out of Dad's house -- she spooked from the car, jogged along the side of the road for a bit, and then ducked into the woodland that's the neighbour's yard.
Stopped at the Baltimore Book Thing on the way up (see previous entry for URL, I can't be arsed looking it up). It's sort of like a used book store, only narrower, more crowded, much more humid and hot, and significantly less organised. Got an armload of books out of it on the principle that hey, they don't cost, if it looks like it might remotely be interesting, I might as well snag it.
Trip up was godawful due to traffic. We stopped a lot just to keep the brainmelt from setting in permanently.
Had . . . I suppose I could call it a panic attack, that's close enough . . . dealing with mob when we stopped for dinner. I haven't had that nasty a reaction to a crowd in ages, and I'm not sure why I completely melted down. Managed to uncurl from small ball after about an hour to talk to
teinedreugan about bits of it.
Managed to impale my toe on a shard of glass in the staircase rug from gods-know-what. That bled really rather a lot for a little bit, then stopped abruptly.
The music router thing won't turn on. I'm depending on iTunes. Rar.
