So my computer started completely flaking out in an 'I don't want to actually run my monitor for more than forty-five seconds at a pop' way, and I've more or less brain-transplanted it into teinedreugan's computer now, and we'll see how that goes and wow does this thing have a wide screen, anyway.

You're speaking of the ibook? If so, how old is it? We've had a run of video issues on 14" ibooks of about 1.5 years of age (seems to be a hardware issue, and heat sensitive (video goes off faster if it's warmer, bits of line-bleed static, then no signal, connecting external does the same)) at work, all of them having come in in the same batch. Apple has been replacing motherboards if brought for applecare (should you have it).

Age isn't the relevant factor; the fact that Arthur knocked it off the desk and broke its spine and it's now got broken connections somewhere is the relevant factor. :P I think it's about a year and a half old.

Kevin wants to upgrade his laptop, so he's going to give me his old one.
