There really hasn't been much to say. I still have a cough. Feel mostly human aside from this occasional potent need to expel my internal organs through my nose. Less said about it the better, hence the whole less saying thingy. (Though I have a strange urge to offer my bottle of Robitussin to Sekhmet. No alcohol, but it is red. I wonder if She'd smite me. . . She did help with the cough somewhere in here. . .)

Last few days I've been not doing a lot of normal things, like keeping up on usenet and posting entries. Partly this is because I've figured out that if I don't move, I don't start coughing, and the whole coughing thing is sufficiently unpleasant that remaining completely immobile for huge portions of the day is actually an acceptable recourse, if somewhat boring.

In other news, Arthur has done serious structural damage to my computer while trying to eat my sandwich -- the first non-pasta food I'd had, I would note, since the previous weekend, due to illness -- which, to add insult to the computer-related injury, he completely ruined by distributing neatly all over the floor. That was a few days ago, I think; it's partially repaired with vast superglueness, but still broken.

Let's see. What else. [livejournal.com profile] thastygliax gave me a terrifically spiffy Setekh doll as a wintergift when we saw him on Wednesday. I desperately need to clean house and finish painting the gift for Monica. [livejournal.com profile] teinedreugan and I tried to do dinner-and-a-movie, sort of accidentally for our anniversary today, managed dinner, not movie.

Word counts, in order: 0, 1487, 0, 1370, 0, 518. 341 today.

A happy solstice to those people who celebrate something on this date.

The question is, do you really want Sekhmet on a robo high in your temple room? ;)

when i was recovering from stomach flu, the very first sandwich i made for myself, the dog flung to the floor and started to chew on. i had the quick mental debate of dog germs versus the effort of making another sandwich (i was totally exhausted from just making the one) and ate the damn sandwich anyhow.

Happy anniversary!

As for the food, I was reduced to incoherent ranting by having made a typo on the microwave panel that reduced my veggie pattie to a breaded black rock. And I hadn't even been sick, just preoccupied and then suddenly ravenous.
