To study: Lost Tribes of the Stop & Shop.

While leaving the grocery today, [livejournal.com profile] teinedreugan and I were followed by several members of this lost and mysterious tribe. The first words spoken by these mysterious people, out of touch with humankind for so long, were, "It's snowing! When did that start?"

We must study them, learn about them and from them, determine if they know why essentially all the packages of eggs in the grocery store had at least one broken. As [livejournal.com profile] humanx said, "We can learn much from their ways."

Another fascinating, perhaps distantly related people is the Grand Canyon Visitors. I myself was lucky enough to be privy to the handing down of their ancient cosmological knowledge from parent to child: "At the end of the day," intoned the elder, "It's going to get dark."

So many opportunities for research!

indeed we can learn much from these strange and rather bizarre groupings. Think of the various interpretations of the intercom announcements alone!

voice one: Will a manager please come to the back to open the door for delivery. Thank you for shopping x-mart.

voice two: The back door is unlocked. Thank you for shopping x-mart

one: No it is not. Will the manager PLEASE come open the back door for delivery? Thank you for shopping x-mart.

two: I opened it three minutes ago dave! Thank you . . .

one: It is locked randy. thank you. . .

and so forth.

As Benedict from "much ado about nothing" would say, "there is a double meaning in that."
