So through various conversations I was reminded of a character who I'm quite fond of, from the first novel I finished writing; he's the narrator of the second novel, presuming I ever write it. I started on it soon after finishing the first one, but realised that I just couldn't get a handle on his voice.

He's a very patient fellow, though, and polite, and waited for me to come back to him. So today I seem to have written 1218 words from his POV. I don't know what happens next; if we match the first book the next part will be third person elsewhere. Probably the Council, as I think about it. Harrum.

I think this is displacement activity from the WIP or something, but it seems to work, so I'm not going to argue about it too hard. Getting writing done: good.

I have also explained to [livejournal.com profile] oneironaut why "Thick as a Brick" is not acceptable music for commercials. And I need to remember to eat.
