Stray thought collection: I wonder where I can find whole nutmeg. My aloe plants seem much happier (and definitely much greener) now that I've separated them. Should do more houseworky things now that I've vacuumed up the dust kitties. Need to clean out the fermenting bucket. Need to scrub out the jar I tried to make essential oils in. Need to look through teinedreugan's aquarium book to be sure of happy fishies. Still no idea what the octocentient is.

Before you ask, brooksmoses, I've taken my damn vitamins.

Do you or Alton Brown know how long it takes to ship? I need it for a booze and my rosebushes are producing Now. Which leads me to pondering whether the coop in Central Square has something, or Trader Joe's, or some likewise derangement.

I have a spice-jar of whole nutmeg, that I picked up by accident when I meant to get the ground sort. It was in the usual "Spice Islands"-brand spice rack at a perfectly ordinary grocery store, too. I think they've started selling them with grinders on top, but this was just an ordinary jar.

Depending on how soon you need the nutmeg, I could mail mine to you, since I doubt I'll use it for rather a while.

I believe the Shaws that you pass right after the Medow Glen Mall on the way to Yorq has whole nutmeg - at least, they did last time I went to buy some, though their stock was running rather low.
