The record low as 28 something (in 1896), after a decade or so in the 70s, and it started at about 60, so a record 45.71 could have been on the way down or after the recovery but calling it a record after the recovery would be odd.

The Dow never got below a thousand in 80s; there was some big shifts in 1986, but nothing like the percentage swings from 1929. So it can't be a "45.71 percent" and I am forced to conclude that site has a data-hygiene problem.
