An important gestational milestone

At 13 weeks, we find on the websites the first foetal size comparison that is not a fruit.

("the size of a medium shrimp", to be precise.)

A peach pit would be about the size of a shrimp, I'd say. Maybe a word got left off somewhere.

However, from a self-oriented point of view, I still can't believe you're pregnant. The maturity of my peers should not be surprising me at my age, but once in a while they do. I just remember knowing you as a tween...

I remember getting those! I still expect to get an email 19 years from now saying "Your child is now the size of a filing cabinet, and will begin to exhibit signs of wanting to go out drinking with his buddies..."

And I *think* I worked in restaurants too long...my first thought there was:"10-12 count or 13-15 count?" (fyi, bulk shrimp (what the heck, pun intended) is measured by approximately how many there are in a pound...thus 10ct are larger than 13ct).
