For lack of anything better to do, here's a first songlines thing. Everyone else is doing 32 in a row, but I got distracted by a shiny object (and releasing the Wrath of Sarge) so I just did 22, skipping instrumentals, which I was getting a lot of.

So, on to the game.

Hmm, "Samson and Delilah" has all the same words as "If I Had My Way" (Peter, Paul, and Mary) in a different verse order. I wonder if that's folksong origin; I'll give it to you on a technicality.

Not "Gaudete" or "New York City", though; the only one with title in the opening line has the [...] replacement for it.

Meanwhile, the only quibble is the version of #21 I have is a cover by miscellaneous Scotsmen, but nobody has any reason to know that.

Actually, it was when I stopped guessing. I was all "I know that one! I think it's off Wishfire!" and then I played the first couple lines of the most likely-sounding songs off Wishfire (i.e. not the ones I could remember the first lines of off the top of my head) and none of them were right. And then I sang the song to myself until I got to a bit that had the title in it, which was really much more efficient.

I knew I knew the words, but it took me a bit to figure out the rhythm for Otter Creek. It's a crapshoot though, any other night and it might have stayed stuck on the tip of my tongue.
