It's an awfully quotable evening.

(Not precisely conversation as stated; corrected my terminology.)

Watching SG-1, in which the Heru-Ur character is introduced as the son of Ra and Hathor.

Me: Though they got that wrong, Heru-Wr is married to Hathor.

Although I think "Middle Egyptian, motherfucker! Do you speak it?" would lose something in translation, as I get the feeling that motherfucker would not be insulting.... ;-)
