[Raid] Djehwty: Now, this is a phased fight. In the first phase, it's a straight tank and spank. He's got one special in this phase, Bedazzle, which is an AOE confuse. It won't hit the tank, so watch your threat, guys.
[Raid] Serqet: I'm looking at you, Sekhmet.
[Raid] Sekhmet: I respecced Affliction from Destro after that raiding drunk thing last week, don't look at me.
[Raid] Djehwty: Phase one is really short, like ten percent of his health. At that point we'll go into phase two. We'll start getting targetted holds, two or three at a time, and if we don't clear those off people he'll try to use his Engulf attack.
[Raid] Set: He'll pop right back to me after trying an Engulf, but that attack doesn't respect threat. I can't keep him off you if you've got the debuff, so call them out in chat if you notice them.
[Raid] Djehwty: Right. Which means Shu and I and the pallies will have to keep dispelling. Those debuffs go out fast and in groups, so we'll be busy.
[Raid] Set: And the holds can hit me too, which means I won't be generating aggro until someone cleanses me. DPS be careful with your threat!
[Raid] Djehwty: Also in this phase he summons two adds. Sekhmet, we're going to ask you to banish one of them, and the other one will get offtanked and taken down.
[Raid] Sekhmet: No problem.
[Raid Leader] Ra: Who's offtanking the add?
[Raid] Heru-Wr: I'm specced Ret right now, not Prot.
[Raid] Sokar: I've got it.
[Raid] Sekhmet: I'll be banishing Mot, so grab Sek as fast as you can.

[Raid] Djehwty: Melee DPS should be on the adds until we have them down. Ranged, stay on the boss throughout, we want to get him out of this phase so he stops Engulfing.

[Raid] Djehwty: Okay. Phase three -- at about half health -- he gives up on bedazzling us, which is going to be a relief to everyone, but that's because he cracks out his Devastating Roar. We're going to get fear wards up before the fight, and this is where it matters.

[Raid] Djehwty: Devastating Roar has a chance of causing fear, higher the closer you are to him, and causes earth tremors that cause worse spell pushback the further away you are from him.

[Raid] Shu: Raid bosses suck.
[Raid] Maahes: Good drops, though.
[Raid] Sokar: I hope he drops his JC pattern.

[Raid] Mehen: I've got, like, half the mats for it already if you do get it.
[Raid] Djehwty: For this phase, in addition to the Devastating Roar, every so often we'll blow off a chunk of this guy's tail. Every time that happens, we need the rogues to go and pound on that bit, because if you don't completely cut it to pieces, it'll self-rez after about ten seconds.
[Raid Leader] Ra: Like corehound packs, if you remember those.
[Raid] Heru-Wr: What happens when it rezzes?
[Raid] Djehwty: First thing it does is picks someone random for a charge attack that does about 6K.
[Raid] Maahes: Ow.
[Raid] Djehwty: Then it tries to get back to the boss. If he picks up one of his pieces and reintegrates it, it heals him somewhere between five and ten percent, depending on how damaged it is when it gets to him.
[Raid] Maahes: Suuuuuuuuck.
[Raid] Mehen: Rogues on the tail bits! Right!
[Raid] Djehwty: The two of you shouldn't have any trouble pasting them.
[Raid] Heru-Wr: Will consecrate hit them?
[Raid] Djehwty: I'm not sure, actually.
[Raid] Heru-Wr: Can't hurt to try.
[Raid] Djehwty: When we've got him all to pieces and there's just his head left, we're in the last phase. He'll kick off Desperate Shadows, which is a lot like the rogue Cloak of Shadows ability. The only thing that really goes through that is fire damage, so mages and warlocks better have mana for this part, okay?
[Raid] Shu: Would it help to cast Flametongue and melee?
[Raid Leader] Ra: Knock yourself out.
[Raid] Shu: I'd rather DPS.
[Raid] Mehen: Wiseass.
[Raid Leader] Ra: So we burn him down, jump up and down on his bits, and collect phat lewts.
