Please to stop making me feel old. I'm not yet thirty; I shouldn't be looking at the invasion of foul-mouthed fools on rasfc and saying, "Why are their parents letting them use the internet unsupervised?"

Old enough to be married, some of them, and sounding like they want to look brave and rebellious to better shock their grandparents. Kids these days; what's the world coming to?



... though now I think of it, the random music selection is probably indicative, if I remember my mythologies right.

Foul-mouthed rudeness seems to be a universal trait these days, I've run into a few rude 35 year olds, 40 year olds... however there are more of the 15-25 year olds active on the internet, ergo, there are more rude 15-25 year olds than there are rude 40 year olds.

However - there's nothing like playing an online game with a pickup group, only to have the group leader declare after an hour: "I have to go, my mom wants me to come down for dinner." to make you feel old. :)

There's a certain reassuringness to the idea that people in that situation can have the maturity to be group leaders and do it without having all the annoying traits that are often associated with teenagers, though.

Sort of an antidote to the people lilairen was posting about.

I've been thinking recently (I have no idea why) about the connection between rebellion against parental figures and hellicoptor parenting. It seems to me that if parents are hovering closer for longer periods that "teenage rebellion" might well get extended or delayed to match.

Hmm.

speaking of music I've got the lyric from a random song I heard through somebody's car window stuck in my head. I should get a copy of the song (I've heard it before and like it.)

*chuckles* yay for confusing teinedreugan (though he's had a stressful day.) The bizarre things are that I found that song in a Battlestar Galactica fanmix, and I think I have it on my work computer but not my laptop.

Glad you know it. It's still stuck though.
