Today appears to be Crankiness Day. It's going around.

I am still cranky.

I have cleaned up [livejournal.com profile] teinedreugan's mess partially, at least enough that I can walk through my damn living room. I have gotten fresh bread from the baker down the way and consumed it with tomato, garlic, and feta. I have weeded the thrice-accursed uglies out of the front dirt and along the fence, though there are some survivors in the neighbours' place that will be regrouping and sending in invading forces soon enough.

The lilac and the azalea are all over flowerbuds. Some of my bulbs are coming up. The phlox survived the winter and is blooming. One of the rosebushes I planted has a bunch of new growth. These are nice brightnesses in my otherwise overwhelming seething mass of "I wish for the universe to rearrange it to suit my current state of whim."

I am torn between filling more boxes and saying "fuckitall" and playing Children of the Nile until [livejournal.com profile] arawen gets here. Or getting drunk, since I have an open wine bottle that should be worked on. I should make some dinner at some point. I will probably reorder that and do all of it. Let's see. Boxes -- game -- food -- drunk ....

Re: Wow

Yeah, [livejournal.com profile] brooksmoses got some rather bad news today, I've been overworked, tired, and generally cranky too. Not to mention various co-workers. I hope to glory it goes away soon, for everyone.

[livejournal.com profile] jikharra responded to my "Want. Alcohol." when I got to Yorq for gaming by giving me a nice glass of good hard cider, and then I beat things up for a bit until I could be a cheery windling again (if Warcraft had thwarted me too, then it would just mean that everything was out to get me).

Doing better (well, still sick, but that's not unexpected). I think you passed along the "she is having a horrid day" message, and thus I thank you. :)

Would you like things to plant in your front dirt? Daylilies are nice and nigh invulnerable.

If you do want daylilies, I have some I can give you, already in pots, if you like.
