Did social cooking, with many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] whispercricket and [livejournal.com profile] arawen and [livejournal.com profile] teinedreugan and [livejournal.com profile] staralshain. And the meat dish actually came out pretty well, if spectacularly messy. I am not happy with the way the kołaczyki came out, though they seem to have been deemed passable. I suspect my yeasties were tired.

We watched the premiere and first two non-special episodes of Firefly. Currently pondering digging up soundtrack stuff, actually, and no I don't have any comment just yet aside from that. (Unsuccessfully digging at that. Harrumph.)

Got massively overheated. Still not sure I'm quite right from dealing with it, but we cope. Have renormalised body temperature with shower.

Firefox is irritating me. A significant number of graphics are not displaying properly in a way that may be more annoying than not being able to read large chunks of comments in [livejournal.com profile] alhandra's journal (or other people using that style, whatever it is, I know you're out there). "Upgrades". Pfaugh. (And that's not commenting on its obnoxious behaviours, like considering a minimised window to be more active than the one that I'm trying to type something in, identified by the obscure and irrational factor of being the open window that I clicked on.)

I think I'm just irritable. Did clear some minor stuff out of my list of things to do (like making the rolled beef dish and looking some stuff up for the training group) at least, which should help the part of my overwhelming morass of stress that scales depending of number of things in queue rather than importance of things in queue.

91 words today, but at least I started the chapter. Blank pages are the hardest part.

How odd. I've never experienced any of those issues in Firefox. *shrugs helplessly* But I primarily use Safari ... I don't use Firefox as much because all my bookmarks are in Safari, and I can sync those with .Mac.

The Firefly soundtrack doesn't seem to have been released - I found a note at Firefly Fans giving an e-mail address to ask Fox to put one out. They have announced a Serenity soundtrack, though, so depending on what they did with the music, that might suffice...

House still rather warm - first time this year that we've had trouble with it. :/

Heat management

Gah. I'm hoping the weight loss will help my heat problems tremendously. Otherwise I'm going to have to just learn to deal with soaking shirts with sweat when I walk across the room. *sighs*

I'm glad you were able to find a normal setting!
