Just wrote to someone who's looking to adopt out a bird of the sort I've been looking into getting "sometime". I have no earthly idea what outcome I'm hoping for here, whether I want it to go smoothly with bird moving in here or for something to nix it (and many things could). In any case, I hope the bird finds a good home.

Managed to get 320 words written yesterday -- which is interesting, since I hit 80 after tremendous grinding work, said, 'Okay, I'll go to a hundred', and the next 20 became some 200. Minor character may have some well-hidden depth. Goal for today: finishing the chapter.
