I was trying to track down the origin of one of my phrases ("True, but probably unimportant") and the process of doing so brought me to
thastygliax's LARP resume. I am highly amused. (The line, by the way, is apparently from Hitchhiker's somewhere.) (As distinct from the true, false, and meaningless sequence, which is of course Sri Syadasti and from the Principia.)
I spent a lot of time last night borrowing the use of
oneironaut's brain to get a surname for a character who will be introduced by surname, and then had the character not show up in that chapter after all. Perverse things, characters. But at least I know the name now.
Having a harder time with this chapter than I did with the previous one. Very aggravating. I swear I've deleted more than I've got left. Meh. Ah well; it'll either unsnarl or I'll realise I'm doing it wrong and start over.
