Worst segue ever, from an advertisement for FOX news:

F/X: car trunk closing, viewed from the inside.
Exposé voice: ... locked the children in the trunk on a sweltering hot day ...
F/X: cut to weatherman and weather map, picturing large storm system, shaped like spiral galaxy.
Weatherman: And that's just the place to be right now with this moving in!

Were they on crack when they put that together?

Uh, wow. I haven't seen that bit on FOX, but I doubt it would go well in this area. A couple of weeks ago three boys in Camden went missing and the father of one of them ended up finding them dead in the trunk of an abondoned car near his house. They seem to have crawled in while playing and the trunk closed. It was a horrible, horrible accident.

The things that marketers come up with and the channels allow to air sometimes baffle me. Who's going to find that funny??

It was one of those "Watch FOX News! Here's a set of clips from FOX News showing our great shit!" little commercials. Presumably they have a box of those in the back closet to bring out when they say, "Hey! We've got a spare thirty seconds! Let's advertise for the news!" rather than putting them together on the fly.
