Just a couple of thoughts from me, and bear in mind that I'm a Faery *student,* not an initiate:
I think Melek Ta'us and the Blue God are separate yet resonant Gods. (I prefer "resonant" or resonating to the idea of a more tangible connection--and I also see a deep connection between Music and Magick, but that's a separate topic.)
I've read some of the Yezidi material--we have it all here in the Library--and although I do want to go back and look at the texts again, the lore the Yezidi hold for Melek T feels very very different from how He manifests for us. That's hardly surprising giving the extreme cultural differences between pluralistic postmodern Amerika and the tribal Yezidi cultural ambient.
It would be interesting to discuss this with Thorn. She obviously feels a connection with the Yezidi given what she chose for her LJ handle.
