Kevin and I went to Cirque du Soleil this evening to see Quidam.

We were wondering if we were going to see Thia there (as she ushed last year) and lo! as one of the clowns was puttering about harassing the congregation, there did we see, like a vision, Thia in the spotlight. (She vanished soon afterwards, but I found her at intermission and learned that she is [livejournal.com profile] jennaria. [livejournal.com profile] keshwyn, she says she'll be doing outdoor duty tomorrow if you want to go a-questing.)

I don't think I'd know what to say about the show even if I were coherent. (I'm not; I'm dealing with lingering nausea and craving egg noodles. Which we don't have.) So I'll say, in brief: the usual sexless eroticism. Loss, innocence, birth, death, clown sequences that occasionally give me insights into why clowns are scary, balloons, surrealism, log rolls, thunder, physics, reunion, an invisible man with an umbrella. Small round hats.

Did I mention surrealism?

Addendum: I also found [livejournal.com profile] autumnesquirrel, by expedient of giving her a code. ;)
