The good news is that so long as I don't bend my knee, move my leg, or put any weight or pressure on it, it doesn't hurt!

The related bad news is that if I do any of these things I get a sharp, intense pain under my left kneecap on the inside side. (By "sharp, intense", I mean "it hurts enough to make me yelp even when I know it's going to hurt like that".)

No, I have no fucking clue what I did to it, why do you ask? I got to [livejournal.com profile] keshwyn and [livejournal.com profile] jikharra's place, sat down on a cushion to eat my dinner, and my kneecap went "Snap!" I tried a cider-vinegar poultice on it on the principle that it couldn't hurt, and it may have helped, but not sufficiently, and not after the vinegar dried up.

Talked writing stuff with [livejournal.com profile] kaifu. And various people pondered hang-gliding lessons, which . . . oh, so fascinating. Failed to play any games, whups.

Er, in other news, I spent a week and a half or something insane like that banging on this next bit and have written about two hundred words. I think these may be the difficult two hundred words, though. ;P But that's why the wordcount posts haven't been appearing. Also, have been playing on Overland; there may be a journal entry about my satyr who is at the moment being much, much more darkly goaty than I was realising he was liable to be, but I think I want to try to draw him first.

... okay, sometimes my knee hurts when I'm not doing anything. Sheesh. Ow. At least the not-moving pain is a dull ache.

Sounds like you tore a ligament. Keep it elevated, use alternating hot and cold compresses to keep any swelling down and take ibuprofen for inflammation and pain. Wrap it if you need to walk about, keep the kneecap steady.

That happened to my brother actually. He had surgery and it took him a while to recover from it. Although now the knee is much better.
I hope you feel better! Get some good drugs from the doctor :)
