Went and got stuff so that I can make the offerings I've been planning on doing. Including actually remembering to get a bottle of spiced rum, which I've been trying to remember to do for somewhere upwards of a month. So tentative plan on that for tomorrow. Too tired-hungry now to do it properly.

I would like to gripe about the mushrooms that were in the grocery store. I wanted to do this with some nice shiitakes, because I like them. There weren't fresh shiitakes last time I checked, so I was happy to see that they had some, even if they were small ones. So I went to pick some out.

I have never before encountered stale mushrooms. Or whatever was wrong with them. teinedreugan said they were dry from my complaints about their crustiness and unpleasant texture; it's as good an explanation as any.

I got white ones. Not going to use defective mushrooms. Especially not in an offering.

Mutter.

Grump.
