I did in fact do my homework. It was five lines of code, one of which was 'end'. I had procrastinated on it by writing an entire spreadsheet to do Deliria character generation on, which was notably more than five lines of code. My displacement activity calculations are Poor, but the gamemaster is pleased.

KJ is also doing a coding class and has learned the first principle of programming: substantial fractions of code are produced by doing websearches for code that does almost what you want to do and copying it with modifications. However, her expression of utter triumph was delightful.

The deconstruction/construction process is currently in a complicated pause while we try to get someone to do a thing, for an assortment of values of 'a thing'. (There is a deadline involved, independent of, you know, winter.) The most substantial current issue is that something appears to have dislodged all of the carpenter ants and thus my day has been punctuated by irregular cries of "MAMA A ANT A ANT", though at least today it was down to a couple of ants rather than the previous steady stream of wanderers. Possibly we have resolved this thing where we dared disturb the universe, though I believe we are out of peaches.

For some damn reason I appear to be misaligned and it's not the usual 'I'm slightly undermedicated' because I don't have any of the low-grade symptoms on that, just the borderline hip dislodgement, and thus I am Quite Cross about it all. This does not usually happen, though I suppose I was warned by my knee being cranky.

I am now midway through the lecture on Flappy Bird. I disapprove of my pain levels. (I have bumped from my usual 2-3 to 5+.) I also disapprove of carpenter ants.

Rule of Thumb evaluation: I have decided that the border between what I'll call pain scale 5 and pain scale 6 is whether or not I have the occasional need to put my head down on the table and whimpersob.

Also the children are really bloody whiny and I am not sure what scale that goes on right now but I am hitting "out of numbers" on that one.
