Because I haven't posted anything but wordcount publically for a while.

I spent much of the last few months buried under a soulcrushing pile of stress. That started to clear up a little after December, and finally resolved itself in time for me to turn thirty. Miscellaneous other events to perhaps be chronicled at some point have happened, some of which are part of the pile or its resolution, some of which are not.

The effects of being freed from soulcrushing stress include what may be a lifting of the generalised depressive miasma I've been dealing with -- I'm letting the jury stay out on that one a little while longer, but it seems plausible -- and, as is evident, the production of wordcount.

Therapy continues therapising. Talked about anxiety spikes today. I dislike anxiety spikes. Also about mechanisms of controlling same, which included medication, which I am still, well, not enthused about shall we say. But. We shall see what other mechanisms produce, results-wise.

Tattoo healing has progressed to the Maddeningly Itchy phase. Learned to walk backwards in tai chi, which is vastly easier than learning to walk forwards. You know, stuff. And things.

And now more seriously.

So when the therapist sees the linework on the tattoo, her first comment is 'What do snakes mean to you?' )

    Shed your skin
    Cast off your chains
Feel the sun upon your face for once
    And wash away the pain
    Shed your skin
    Be who you are
    Unencumbered by the weight
    Of hiding every little scar
