[livejournal.com profile] arawen spent Friday evening with me, and we spent several hours discussing gaming before becoming highly distracted.

A certain amount of stupidity ensued after he left. Not so much with the talking about, but that occupied [livejournal.com profile] teinedreugan and myself for about twelve hours.

Saturday we did an Unseelie run through Scarlet Strat with Giz as our fifth. Got a drop of the warlock belt set item, which is further prodding for me to level Maj up to the point that he can wear the bloody thing. It was a good run, even if none of the specific items we were looking for dropped. The VOIP thing we were testing worked out pretty well, even if I apparently don't have my settings set properly for my speaking habits.

Then [livejournal.com profile] teinedreugan and I went and spent the evening with [livejournal.com profile] arawen and [livejournal.com profile] whispercricket. We watched Run, Lola, Run, which I am still highly bemused by. There was snuggling. I spent much of the evening wanting rice, which I still have not managed to get; I went to bed right after we got home (which we did fairly late).

Sunday: up very early. Made it to May Day for the first time in ages, as my attempt to get vaguely active in SCA things again. Waved at [livejournal.com profile] jducoeur, said hello to Christian (who did fairly well in the fencing and was the only one who did any sword-and-cloak, so sad). There was a piper; one tipped him, because it was time to pay the piper (and they said musicians are powered by mead, a sentiment which I approve of). The Fool's Guild had entered in the arts and sciences competition a pair of period self-replicating mousetraps, complete with documentation of historical use, which were quite cute; one of them thought it important to protect me not only from the vest of my garb but from the depredations of my own right wrist. Sat in the sun with [livejournal.com profile] teinedreugan a lot and puttered around looking at fabric trim. Green Man was terrifyingly polite.

The nominal reason for me attending May Day was to acquire a large statue of, as it turns out, Serqet; She is established in my living room at the moment and has been offered cool water as a welcome to Her new household. (Folks who know Her better, is there anything in particular that I should keep in mind about offerings?)

After May Day (in which I acquired the traditional mild sunburn) back to TI for Beltane ritual, which was fairly low-key and in which I demonstrated that I have, in fact, memorised [livejournal.com profile] yezida's calls and closings. There was much drinking, and some discussion whether it would be more appropriate to be screwing around rather than the faffing about we were doing.

At dinner, the five of us (myself, [livejournal.com profile] arawen, [livejournal.com profile] whispercricket, [livejournal.com profile] keshwyn, [livejournal.com profile] jikharra) and [livejournal.com profile] teinedreugan met [livejournal.com profile] meranthi at a very nice restaurant, ordered a lot of food and more drinks (some of which were extremely odd), and discussed wonton feta-ish gnocci.

Then to Davis. Brief stop in Diesel for [livejournal.com profile] keshwyn's coffee, then meeting [livejournal.com profile] goldenoak for the Great Big Sea concert. Which was a trip and a half. In the middle of the second set they did an amusing montage that included "Video Killed the Radio Star", which made me think of [livejournal.com profile] rubberskunk. There was some wrestling in the break that led to the bruise that I am currently whining about, which is a roughly triangular goose egg approximately the size of my palm which is luminous magenta. They did not do "Boston and St. John's", so I sang bits of it while we were walking back to the car.

Got home. Popped on to [livejournal.com profile] overlandmush briefly so [livejournal.com profile] oneironaut wouldn't kill me. Went to bed.
