At some point I'll get this whole "life" thing sorted out, huh? (Miscellanea.)

Doctor's appointment today. Got dehydrated enough on the walk down that I drank water when I got there -- a fair lot of it. However hot it was today (weather.com says a little over 80F/26C), was acceptable so long as a) I was in the shade and b) there was wind. Doctor enquired after issues I had brought up with her last session, I discussed the benefits of good hydration. Was poked by an intern too, for bonus stray people.

Minor entertainments with the pharmacy, which is apparently unable to fill the prescription it was able to fill for the previous six months just fine. (Got an entertaining cranky rant out of arawen over that, at least.)

Spotted a blue jay on the way home. I like blue jays. Chatted with it a bit before it decided I was boring and buzzed off. (I also like mockers. Same order, different genus.) This inspired the development of the jay userpicture, which has a very precise usage that I cannot actually articulate.

Also picked up a white feather. Wound up asking jenett if the person on the Cauldron who was on about the deeper esoteric meaning of white feathers had actually explained what was up with that; failing that, I will just use my default meaning for such things, which is, "Ah. Seagull."

Yesterday produced about 1600 words. (The section that was written yesterday is currently at 1602, but has been tweaked some since I was writing at 5am for parts of it and . . . well, it showed.) Today 193.

Getting my sleep schedule around to being able to be even semicoherent at 9am by Saturday looks likely to be loads of fun at this rate.
