I'm going to start making lists. I'm actually considering putting a list-o-stuff as an entry dated funny at the head of my journalpage and just adding to it. "Things to do, January 2005". . . . And crossing things out. And stuff.
I was pondering
great_ones and got bonked upside the head with another ceramics project I need to do. Which is all well and good, but I would like to stop getting bonked with these projects before I have a place to work, a kiln, all that good stuff. . . . (Net effect: add to list of things needed for putting together a workshop: plaster for making casts for plaques.)
Speaking of random LJ communities that please me by their merest existence,
gods_penis. (
elfwreck, I thought of you as soon as I saw it.)
Someone on the Cauldron posted a reference to the existence of the Foundation for Shamanic Studies, and a bit of my brain went, "Oh! If the trance training that made my brain go 'Must have!' is derived from Harnerian shamanism, and . . . dude, they have a basic workshop in the Boston area in May, and a bunch in nearby bits of Canada and New York other places at other times . . . this is likely to be much easier to get to than San Francisco . . ."
Positive sign: I'm digging up techniques that have had some use for making my life actually work and thinking of ways I can apply them. We'll see if this works for long-term stuff as well as short-term.
Whoa. It's way foggy out there.
