Transferred from mother-in-law's house to father's house tonight. THis is unrelated to the fact that someone put a backhoe through the phone trunk just down the street from the in-laws' place, thereby killing their phone line and their DSL. We are Mightily Impressed with their competence.
Went shopping today and got stuff. Nice pants, a belly-dancing scarf, some shirts -- I can do a really impressive sixties getup now, between one of the shirts and the pants, actually. Also stopped at The Walnut Tree and chatted with the owner, who hasn't been there before when I was there. I mentioned I was Kemetic, she mentioned
morningwind and talked about the Athena ritual at Bryn Mawr, amusement was had by all. She was happy to get a couple of book recommendations; I told her she had the best book selection I've seen in a pagan store, and she felt quite complimented.
Talked with mother-in-law a lot about family and interactions and all kinds of things. Is all good.
Currently have a lapful of exceedingly elderly and cranky cat. She's happy to have me to sit on, though.
