Stuff (and Nonsense)

223 words today, which brings 23 to 515 words total. This comes with a sudden revelation of how I get to a bit that wanted to be in the first draft, the draft which was wrong wrong wrong because I didn't know how to do Mikel's voice at the time, but which sets of events nearly worked and led to some wonderful bit of characterisation. And one of those sets of events is, I believe, section 26. Which is much sooner than I was expecting. But it'll probably be messy getting there, given that there's a Jaci-loses-her-epic-level-temper in there somewhere.

Finished Yendi, started Teckla. When I finish this one I will have to go off the Dragaera kick because I only got to read Athyra because I borrowed it from jikharra and I don't have any of the Paarfi yet.

Just spent two or three hours prodding at clay, and have finished my Bast figure. She's sitting somewhere safe to dry. Went a bit away from traditional imagery for Her, somewhat, though She has ankh and earrings; tried to get the African wildcat markings at least vaguely right. She came out with wide, kitten-bearing hips, which makes sense given the stuff She wants to talk with me about, but also amuses me tremendously; She also has three fairly nondescript kittens with Her.

Oh yes. And brooksmoses is here. Which is good, because I'd missed him awfully (as previously angsted about in various locales). And he wants to go to bed, so I intend to snuggle. Hah!
