Either I'm too bloody brainscrambled to navigate (spelt 'mavigate' originally, which I suppose would be typing the search entry in the wrong browser) the OED at the moment, or it doesn't have the word I'm looking for at all. (I wanted to confirm it existed. teinedreugan says I have it right, at least.)

I can forgive www.dictionary.com and the online Merriam-Webster for not having them, as I suspect most people aren't looking up whatsis jousting terminology these days, but the OED? I hope it's just that I'm inept. (brooksmoses, are you ept? It's your fetish, after all.)

Definitely mentally fried today, but also so far over 1700 words. Waiting on comments on some of it from annwyd, who is also fried.
