I have wordcounts for some of the time I was away. Those wordcounts are 672, 1372, and 825, and correspond to sections 88, 89, and 90, which is a six.
The cats are well and may have calmed down from their state of "OhmigodthereareourHUMANShereagain!" at least a little.

teinedreugan has an urge to get me a parakeet and name it Wallis. No parakeets in the house, though, given the boys.) (These are bad Egypt-related puns. If they make no sense, feel free to nod and smile.) (Perhaps I will use them in a story. Or learn to drive, and paint wings on the Volkswagon's doors.)
I may write about holidayness later, and shiny objects. At the moment I'm feeling rather like a doughnut, though, so it will have to wait.
