The Layman's Guide has a little bit about it, though the Guide is more written with people who are more plural than I in mind. Pavilion has this essay on the history of the terminology. I can't find the essay on the Vickis' site (linked from both of those) that got me started on processing myself as what netdancer called 'singtuple'.
The short answer is: it depends on how you look at it. There are thirteen of me, yes; however, we're all me, rather than fully distinct individuals, so no.
This is an essay I wrote about my internal structures and processing modes in response to a Pavilion essay solicitation. (Pavilion is a multiplicity-awareness and activism group.)
