People who insist that kids have no awareness of sexuality at the age of eleven baffle me tremendously.
Oh, yeah, we get that one coming up a lot on the Sims board I go to. It's rated as PG-13, which means that you're not allowed to talk explicitly about sex or use bad language. But some people object to people talking about gay sims, "because it's PG-13".
I said recently that I felt it was entirely appropriate, because you can have gay sims in the game without a hack: the game has always given you some choice about whether your sims are gay, straight or bi. (Actually, the way the sims are coded, they're all potentially bi!). The moderators agreed with me, so hopefully common sense will now rule.
