I like that it's possible to win AV without downing the general; I've played a couple that were won on points. That's a positive effect of the change, I think, that one can adopt a 'turtle and wear 'em down' strategy effectively.

EotS is my second favorite. It's utterly artificial as a conflict; I don't even know of a story-excuse to explain it. But it has the best parts of AB and WSG both, and it plays to my strengths as a hunter on both offense and defense. (Haven't PVPed on any of my other toons.)

EotS, like AB, plays to 2000 points, and you get points for holding any of the four Valuable Areas. Unlike AB, control of the Valuable Areas depends on who has more live minions there at the time, rather than flag-assaults. And like WSG, there's flag-running; a flag spawns at the center of the map, and people can snag it and run it to one of the Valuable Areas they control for points.

Most of the games seem to settle to Alliance and Horde each holding two Valuable Areas and duelling over the flag. A few are more chaotic than that, with Valuable Areas swapping hands constantly. I've both been four-noded and four-noded the enemy (sucks as much as being five-noded in AB, with the same 'augh, we can't even fight our way out of the graveyard!' problem). It's fun. Don't fall off the map. :}
