I'm not sure what being nonreligious has to do with it. :} I mean -- I'm poly, that's transgressive in mainstream; I don't consider it 'about sex', which is transgressive in polyamory, I do heirarchy, which raises some people's hackles, and so on. I transgress by being a woman who doesn't behave according to miscellaneous standards of womanhood. I transgress by adopting certain adjectives or not. And so on.
