Hey [livejournal.com profile] gwynyth. . .

. . . could you give me the cites on the much-discussed verb involving Judas and handing over, and possibly the verb itself again? I've forgotten exactly where it is, and [livejournal.com profile] lstone was asking about, and I'm thinking you probably have it handy, if not in memory . . .

The verb is 'paradidomi' - citation in Perseus is

(Yes, that's big and long: if it doesn't work, try http://www.perseus.tufts.edu/cgi-bin/resolveform and search on paradid )

As far as context, I'm not sure - a good New Testament lexicon could probably tell you. I *think* it's used both in narration and in 'stuff said by Jesus' but I'm not certain.

(I am slightly disturbed that my Greek/English New Testament was in the pile of books on the couch, now I think about it. But.)
