kiya: (writing)

My cat is well vacuumed.

It's a word processor designed with writers in mind. So I can do separate sections for my chapters, and put in my linguistics notes in the same file so I can get them easy and put them up alongside for reference, and stuff. I haven't played with it much as of yet, but I've transferred The Night's Tale out of Word and into Z-Write in chapter form, and added the linguistics notes and the notes on poker. I haven't translated anything else yet, but I will eventually, I suspect.

And I've played with it, getting full wordcount and separate wordcounts on each chapter (along with sentence, character, and paragraph-count). And since Chapter 20 is now in a file-bit titled 'Chapter 20' I won't be asking [livejournal.com profile] brooksmoses what chapter I'm on anymore.

My major complaint is that the thing DEVOURS memory. But it am cool.

Not that I feel like writing at the moment. But it's a nice toy.

Sounds like a cool program; where'd you get it? [Or, more to the point, where can I get it?]

Looks cool.
Unfortunately for me, it's Mac only.
Ah well...

you may like to have a look at StoryLines (http://www.storylinescentral.com/) then. it's available for both windows and linux.
