Basically took today off sick.

Was supposed to go in and go to the shrink, but when my throat hurts so badly it kept waking me up the whole "Go talk to someone for an hour" thing has no appeal whatsoever. None of my standard sore throat cures are helping, either; the honey we have doesn't seem to have quite the right properties, and salt water triggers my goddamn nausea. Completely full of goo, some of which is congealing into those little yellow blobs that say, "Why yes, you're sick." Sigh.

Moody and kind of short-tempered, so I spent a chunk of the afternoon fucking around on A Tale In The Desert 4, because building small pixelated Egyptian technology has some level of productive satisfaction to it without requiring me to get up and do much, which is nice because on top of everything else I've got a goddamn headache.

Making some nice soup now.

I tend to find mint tea helpful for such things, even if just as overheat-and-breathe-steam. I know that you don't usually like mint, but if it's not nausea-triggering it may work medicinally. If not, other steam-breathing teas may help.

I know that at one point I was recommended a very good "throat-coat" tea of lemon and licorice? I don't know if any of that migrated to your place.
