Nnnnrgh.

So.

In addition to scorching the bread I was reheating to munch on into inedibility, I have burnt the rice I was making so that I had something to eat that wasn't scorched bread.

I have never before in my life burnt rice.

I'm not certain what to make of this, other than a grumble and a pot-washing exercise.

I've burned...a lot of rice in my time. I get distracted in the kitchen.

I want a rice cooker. I'm lazy. :}

Chris tells me that burnt rice is considered a delicacy among Puerto Ricans, but she means the brown-burnt rice you get at the bottom of the pot when the rest is cooked normally, not black-burnt.
