A multiplicity of round hats

Kevin and I went to Cirque du Soleil this evening to see Quidam.

We were wondering if we were going to see Thia there (as she ushed last year) and lo! as one of the clowns was puttering about harassing the congregation, there did we see, like a vision, Thia in the spotlight. (She vanished soon afterwards, but I found her at intermission and learned that she is [livejournal.com profile] jennaria. [livejournal.com profile] keshwyn, she says she'll be doing outdoor duty tomorrow if you want to go a-questing.)

I don't think I'd know what to say about the show even if I were coherent. (I'm not; I'm dealing with lingering nausea and craving egg noodles. Which we don't have.) So I'll say, in brief: the usual sexless eroticism. Loss, innocence, birth, death, clown sequences that occasionally give me insights into why clowns are scary, balloons, surrealism, log rolls, thunder, physics, reunion, an invisible man with an umbrella. Small round hats.

Did I mention surrealism?

Addendum: I also found [livejournal.com profile] autumnesquirrel, by expedient of giving her a code. ;)

Blinkity blinkity! Thia! Oh, how spiffy! (Oddly enough, I had been thinking "Hey, one should see if I could figure out how to get in touch again, sometime.") recently.

 Yes, I exist. And am very glad that Heather found me, and then found me again on LJ, because I had successfully managed to forget even the easily-remembered community she told me she was a member of. (:has to go and double-check: Infocom. Should be perfectly easy to remember. Ha.)

*grin*

Lots of new stuff up with me. (The, erm, salient bits are that I'm now training with a Wiccan coven and having a blast, and that I got married. My husband's much spiffy. I'm also involved with Scott, who you met at Arisia a while back. Life's good.)

Working, I'm working on my Master's in Library Science. Erm. Slowly. 4 more classes to do. And working in a private secular day school out here in Minneapolis. Love the job (and the students, actually. They're mostly pretty decent sorts of humans.)

Feel free to email, should you wish - gleewood@gleewood.org or gwynyth@drizzle.com should reach me happily.

*happy finding Thia noises ensue*0
