Don't run over the grapefruit.

So I went into the bedroom to find my bathrobe; I wasn't sure where it was, so I turned the light on. [livejournal.com profile] teinedreugan startled awake, peered over the pillows at me, with a strange and intensely manic expression. I said, "What?"

"I'm just amazed at how very very very very very very very very many ways there are to burn *mumble mumble*."
"Burn a what?"
"A crew."
"... ... you may think that I have been a party to a conversation in which that makes sense. I wasn't."
"No, I wasn't thinking that."
"So would you please say something sequitur?"
"I was just thinking about all the different ways of getting a crew--"
"--I came in. I turned on the light. You made faces at me. I asked you what. You started talking about burning things."
"... oh."
"And when I asked you to say something that made sense, you repeated yourself."
"... oh, right."
"I said I was not a party to that conversation."
"Well, the crew. . ."
"Is this for a game? A project? A theory?"
"Game! Game. . . you have to capture a crew. For your ship. And your base. And."
"I'm going to go have my shower now and let you go back to sleep."
"That's probably a good idea. . ."
"I'm used to your transitions between being awake and asleep not being from this planet, but they are bewildering."

I am utterly convinced that he will not remember anything even remotely resembling this conversation in the morning, so it must be documented for posterity, as best as I remembered it. Hail Eris.

Must try to remember to dye my hair tomorrow. Can't do a full ritual of it, since I can't manage purity requirements right now, but fortunately I dedicated two boxes of henna last time. With a little luck I will be less sick-as-a-dog tomorrow and thus be able to accomplish something.

[livejournal.com profile] teinedreugan, we need to go to the grocery store tomorrow. I have an incomplete list and, uh, stuff.
