No work done on the short the last couple of days. Got annwyd's character for the PBEM, discussing a little legwork oneironaut's character is doing pre-PBEM. So that's at least something creativeish.

Still no plants. Growmph. Where is my papyrus? Where are my lilies?

Terribly horribly angstful about my brother. He's going in to the doctor on Wednesday morning for his diagnostic. It's going to require a general anesthetic, for one thing. Dad called me yesterday to let me know how things were going; apparently James vomited up a pint of blood the other day. They called the doctors, who said, in essence, "Oh, if we've got our diagnosis right, that's normal!"

Are you and James blood-type compatible? would it ease your mind any to speak to his care team and ask if you can donate specifically for him if he should require it?

I believe we're both O+, but I don't know about the niggly bits beyond that. (I think my father is too.) I have my doubts I could give any significant amount of blood safely, unfortunately. :/ I have no blood pressure, and tend to try to pass out from normal medical draws. It's an idea worth pondering, though; I'll talk to teinedreugan about it. (His parents are medically-trained, so he has good brain to borrow for such things.)

It's not bloodloss that's worrying me specifically so much as the fact that that sounds like something's ulcerated or . . . something really bad. And there's nothing I can do for his intestines but pray to Sekhmet.
