I think the ways that society breaks women are more obvious to women (partly because feminism has worked hard to expose them, partly because, well, duh) than the ways that society breaks men are obvious to men. So women have plenty of motivation to throw off their conditioning, while a lot of men don't realise that it's not a zero-sum game, but that becoming less awful will actually make their own lives less awful.
