Inevitability.

Cat in box

So with clearance to start packing things up again -- which I'd been thwarted from for a while, leaving it as a stray unfinished, aggravating task in the back of my mind -- I open up a box, put it on the dining room table, and start clearing off the top shelf of the bookcase there.

I get distracted by other tasks, go to deal with them, and when returning to work on the box of books, I find this.

I should probably have expected it, really.

Cats!

Cats and boxes have a very special relationship.

*chuckles* I'm remembering helping my mom pack stuff
up as a child, walking into a room that held a very big
box, a cat, and many small boxes (the cat had helped
upack the big box). She sighed and said, "I was going to
wait until you were a bit older to explain, but sometimes
when a cat and a box love each other very much...."

It was a long time before I understood why this was
so funny.

(and congratulations on the resumation of packing)
